Audition Tips
Qualities to work for in your singing part audition:
 
1.    Diction – you articulate each word so we can understand you
 
2.    Pitch – you sing in tune, with the correct pitch
 
3.    Emphasis – your singing tells a story and creates interest in the listener
 
4.    Volume – you sing loud enough for us to hear you and apply breath control
 
5.    Poise – you sing with confidence and composure, using good singing posture
Qualities to work for in your speaking part audition:
 
Scripts will be provided on the day of the audition
 
1.    Diction – articulate each word so we can understand you
 
2.    Inflection & Emphasis – you change the pitch of the words so you are not monotone and you emphasize, or say louder and slower, important words
 
3.    Volume – speak loud enough for us to hear you
 
4.    Poise – speak with confidence and composure
